About the Programme

This global education programme will contain 13 courses covering 4 areas: basal insulin analogues, new fixed ratio basal-bolus insulin therapybasal GLP-1 RA combination therapy and new ultra-fast-acting insulin analogues. The editorial board will act as independent expert reviewers, and will curate all content.

Description

The programme provides diabetologists, endocrinologists, and primary care physicians with free access to information on diabetes management, including recently published articles, congress highlights, and interactive educational courses related to the use of basal insulin analogues alone, in combination with other insulins, and alongside a glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist (RA).

The courses provide patient case discussions, clinical article reviews, and infographics, and an overview of the latest clinical data on novel insulin analogues and patient counselling approaches.

The editorial board will act as independent expert reviewers, and will curate all content.

 

A single registration gives you  access to all courses

The Insulin Educational Programme is free and available to all site visitors, you only need to register once and you will have access to all content and courses. 

Each course is divided in different content modules that some of these modules are webcasts, case studies, articles, roundtable discussions or animated tables. You can start a course and complete it's modules in any order. After each module you will have a short quiz and will be able to proceed to the next content.

  • Basal Insulin Analogues

    This content area has two courses focused on Basal Insulin Analogues. One is targeted at Primary Care Physicians and the other at Diabetes specialists. 

     

  • New fixed ratio basal-bolus insulin combination therapy

    This content area has two courses focused on new fixed ratio basal-bolus insulin combination therapy. One is targeted at Primary Care Physicians and the other at Diabetes specialists.

     

  • Basal Insulin GLP-1 RA Combination Therapy

    This content area has six courses focused on basal insulin GLP-1 RA combination therapy. Three of them are targeted at Primary Care Physicians and the other three at Diabetes specialists. Two of the courses are UEMS accredited.

     

  • New Ultra-Fast-Acting Insulin Analogues

    This content area has three courses focused on New Ultra-Fast-Acting Insulin Analogues. All courses are UEMS accredited and are targeted at diabetes specialists and pump specialist nurses. This content area will be available in mid 2017. Sign up to our e-alert to get content updates.

    Objectives: Understand insulin pathophysiology (impact of hepatic glucose production on post-prandial blood glucose levels)
    Be aware of the importance of more physiological meal-time insulin replacement
    Be aware of the importance of achieving post-prandial glucose control with insulin therapy
    Know the treatment guidelines on the management of post-prandial glucose control
    Understand safety, efficacy, and PK/PD data on emerging or investigational ultra-fast-acting insulin analogues
    Be aware of potential areas of improvement of insulin pump therapy
    Understand which patients will most benefit from pump therapy using ultra-fast-acting insulin analogues
